LUCAS & LITTLE TED - BLUE

Lucas is turning one.... and loves his Little Ted.
So of course, there had to be a Little Ted on his Birthday Cake ...along with the words I'm One, which is what it said on his birthday invitations. And on the sole of Little Ted's foot, the number 1.

The colours of the Invitations were Pale Blue, Dark Blue and Yellow.... which i incorporated when creating Lucas's Cake.

A 7 inch Round Cake -  consisting of 6 layers - each filled with Milk Chocolate Ganache... standing 6 inches high.  .... then covered in pale blue fondant - and then decorated..... including one yellow crayon Candle which sat next to Little Ted....

*L* on the corner of the Blanket - which Little Ted sat upon.

LITTLE TED...holding another tiny ted.

The Cake.....

Little Blue and Yellow Ted's, Ducks, Bibs and Bottles... long with little Booties, sat around the base of the Cake and Cake board....

A huge Thank you to my friend Samantha...who made Little Ted.

He was perfect sitting on his blue blanket....

Again - Thank you - what a treasure you are.

Thank you also to Nicole - for you ever so kind words and high praise.

It was indeed a pleasure to make Lucas's Birthday Cake.

Happy Birthday Lucas...

BABY SHOWER - BLUE

Sunday the 17th March was the day Ingrid hosted her Garden Baby Shower.
Little white bowls of *one lump or two* with tiny silver tongs - sat along side the Brightly coloured Tea cups which matched the Bright Teapots... Rose Bowls and little Mason pots were filled with flowers.....which all sat on the white tablecloths along the long tables.
Ingrid chose an Alice In Wonderland theme for her Garden party.....

Inside was the Dessert Table -  Keeping to the colours of Pastel Blue and White...i made Mini cupcakes, some in mini white cups. others under the little glass domes.
Colour coordinated wrapped chocolates -  with a *b* made of fondant sitting on the tied Ribbon... and little blue swirled blue Meringues, also sat on the table - as did the Blue and White striped Baby Shower Cake.... Flowers with a butterfly on top of the Cake - representing the Garden and tiny Teddy Bears, Ducks and Bibs - representing the Baby Shower.

A large arrangement of white Oriental Orchids and long stemmed yellow Roses greeted guests in the entry...

More of Alice...in the Garden

Yes, a beautiful sunny Day - with a slight cool breeze was the perfect setting for such a Garden Baby Shower....

And now, we all await the arrival of Ingrid and Jason's baby Boy....

Oh how that little Boy shall be cherished and loved....

Bless you both.... for the joy that is about to grace your World.

Thank you Ingrid..... it was my pleasure.....

TIFFANY BIRTHDAY CAKE

The beautiful Phoebe was turning 18....
Such a special date - such a special occasion.

Something in the colour of Veridian with a White Bow,  and threads of Bling, attached to the ribbons of the Bow.
Something different to the traditional *present cake* one usually see's  - yes, a Tall Cake -  a Chocolate Mud Cake with a Caramel Milk Ganahce filling in between each of the 6 layers....is what Phoebe chose.

A 7 inch Round Cake - standing 7 inches tall.

Dainty Butterflies dotted here and there  - and a plague with an embossed 18 sitting to the side of the Cake.

For something completely different i decided to edge the base of the Cake with a thread of Bling also - and instead of the traditional ribbon around the edge of the Cake board - i added another thread of Bling.
It did glimmer in the light and i must say - Veridian and threads of Bling work/look beautifully together.
The Birthday Cake - sitting high on my crystal stand - which again worked well with the Bling - reflecting more light.

Mini Cupcakes accompanied the Birthday Cake.... sitting in little clear boxes - tied with white ribbon and finer threads of Bling... to tie in with the theme... as well as the little cupcakes,  sitting on the White Cake stand -

On arrival, to deliver the creation, one could tell that a great deal of planning had gone into this special occasion.... beautifully placed pots of gorgeous colour greeted all at the front entry - as did Phoebe who looked stunning and radiant,  as she waited for her guests to arrive.
