BRIDAL SHOW @ Sitella Winery

BRIDAL SHOW...

On Sunday the 8th of July i along with other vendors, had the enjoyable pleasure of setting up a table showcasing my Creations....for the annual Swan Valley Bridal Day.

A rather crisp and chilly start greeted us,  as we drove through the Swan Valley -  yet never to be disappointed with what each Season brings on this particular drive , it was a silent pleasure sitting in a warm car looking out across the bare vineyards ... paddocks and further on to the Range.

On arriving i met with Eve - Sitella's Manageress - what  a gem of a Lady.
Honestly - nothing is too much trouble for this Lady -  and her eye for detail is second to none.
One feels totally relaxed as Eve with her beautiful manner walks you through the where's and how's of the day ahead.
With crisp white table cloths laid out, i set too placing my Creations and table decorations om place...

My creations for the day were.....

A Two Tier Cake with wide alternating white and ivory stripes - a plague and flowers. Each tier standing 6 inches tall - all set on an ivory cake board....edged with an ivory ribbon.
The bottom tier  being 2 x 3 inch tiers would feed 130 guests - served coffee style portion
The top tier being 2 x 3 inch  tiers would feed 80 guests - served coffee style portions
In total =210 portions

A Two Tier  Perriwinkle and Wedgewood Cake - with touches of lilac through the leaves and dusted on the larger flowers.  A pretty cake showing that one doesn't always have to have a white or ivory cake as a wedding cake.
Standing 10 inches in height and 10 inches round - consisting of 3 layers.
This cake would feed 190 - 200 guests - served as coffee style protions.

An assortment of Mini Cupcakes ...sitting in gorgeous little wrappers.
Ivory lids with Wedgwood flowers -  Pastel Pink Flowers - Mint Green Flowers - Lemon Flowers Warm Brown Flowers and Ivory Flowers.

I had the opportunity to use four delightful little Clouches - which suit these little creations perfectly.

Butterfly on top of White & Ivory Wedding Cake...

Again i would like to take a moment to thank Eve for her wonderful organising skills - and attention and care shown to all vendors on the day ...the day was a huge success due to all that you did and your ever so friendly Staff - Thankyou.  ..................  Sitella Winery, such a perfect setting for that Special Day...

MINI CUPCAKES - IVORY WITH CHAMPAGNE DUST

An invite from my dear friend Mrs LP had me thinking of some little sweet delights that i could make and take with me.

Perhaps Mini Cupcakes.... yes. Mini Sponge Cupcakes with a chocolate ganache filling.
Who knew such mini Cupcakes could look so pretty when arranged on the Cake stand.
Ivory Flowers dusted with Champagne Dust..... such a pretty sheen when seen in certain light...

And of course - my signature Butterfly.

Thank you for a lovely day my friend.....
Such a pleasure to meet your beautiful Daughter...

WEDDING CAKE - IVORY AND DUSKY PINKS

FOR VICTORIA & GRAEME

Just over a week ago, i had the joy and excitement of travelling to Melbourne to deliver a very special Cake....    Yes, my dear friend Marjorie asked me to make her beautiful Daughters Wedding Cake.....and so the preperation began....

The fruit soaking in Brandy (for 9 weeks) was ready to be baked into the two tiers required.

After letting the cakes mature for 5 weeks - both tiers were then covered in Ivory Fondant.

Flowers for the top tier were made - and carefully placed - securing with sugar glue as i knew they would be safe for the plane trip ahead.
Tiers were stacked and final decorations were put in place once the Cake and i were in Melbourne -

Victoria & Graemes Reception was held at the Provincal Hotel - upstairs in the Salon Room... just outside of Melbourne CBD....a function room described as.... ornate, old world and Parisienne in style.

After delivering the Cake, i stepped back and looked around - such pretty flowers adorned the room - an old world charm with warmth and gentleness i thought....lovely polished wooden floors and huge mirrors which gave the room such an air of grace.... and again - that ornate appeal.

Below i have posted photos from the "starting to decorate the cake - through to photos of the reception room"...and all its charm.

Whilst beginning to decorate the top tier - the sunlight caught a crystal i have hanging and i couldn't resist but take pohotos of how the beautiful roses changed colour with every flutter of the prisims....

WHITE WEDDING CAKE WITH BLING

This week saw me designing a Wedding Cake with Bling....

Suitable strands of Bling - fine strands - hanging at varying lengths, around the tall White Cake.

Large *Maxine style* flowers  sitting above the Bling - with smaller flowers tumbling over the edge

I also made a smaller version  of the larger Cake..... again with Bling.
A Brandy infused fruit cake..

Little Cake.... with Bling
